March/April All Things Girl
My latest column for All Things Girl, an online magazine showcasing a variety of women's voices, art, photography, and opinion, is now out. My column, Woman in Transition, deals with just that: the life changes and stages we all go through--woman or man. I hope you find something that resonates. Please follow the link to All Things Girl and have a read (the back issues are there, too). This month, my column addresses endings that are also beginnings. Here's an excerpt:
So here I am again, in a familiar emotional state, my own little nuclear winter, but this time with the wisdom to know that after a fallow winter a fecund spring will arrive. I am, once again, walking away from my past and present into the mysterious future of my hopes and dreams and expectations.
Last month's column, Wanderlust and Chocolate explores my perennial itch to travel and to live elswhere; to be the other :
I love the challenge and the sensation of being in an unfamiliar
country forced to use all my faculties and abilities to navigate
curious streets and colorful maps while steering clear of creepy areas
and food that doesn’t agree with me. To wake up in Paris or Prague and
sip a strong coffee from the corner bar in my adopted, regardless of
how brief, neighborhood gives me joy beyond compare.
in past columns I have mused on topics such as body image, internet dating, resolutions, and more.
I welcome your feedback. Just drop me a line and let me know your thoughts.
